A Colourful Summer Wedding at Parihoa Farm

Some venues don't need much to make an impact. With sweeping views over the west coast, rolling green hills and endless blue skies, Parihoa Farm provides one of Auckland's most breathtaking wedding backdrops.

For this summer celebration, we embraced the landscape with florals that felt fresh, effortless and full of movement. Rather than competing with the scenery, every arrangement was designed to complement it.

The colour palette centred around blush, buttery yellow, ivory, lilac and warm peach, finished with touches of burgundy and fresh greenery. Seasonal dahlias, lisianthus, calla lilies, gerberas and delicate summer flowers created a relaxed garden-inspired look with a modern edge.

Modern Ceremony Flowers with a View

Rather than a traditional floral arch, the ceremony featured three clean white plinths overflowing with asymmetrical floral arrangements.

The sculptural designs framed the couple beautifully while allowing Parihoa's spectacular coastal backdrop to remain the focal point. After the ceremony, the arrangements were repurposed inside for the reception—one of our favourite ways to maximise both impact and value throughout the day.

The Bridal Bouquet

The bouquet echoed the same natural movement found throughout the wedding.

Soft dahlias, delicate daisies, sculptural butter yellow calla lilies and seasonal blooms combined to create a bouquet that felt romantic, contemporary and full of personality. The flowing shape perfectly complemented the bride's minimalist gown without feeling overly formal.

Reception Styling

Inside the reception, the styling remained intentionally understated to let the incredible views take centre stage.

Long tables were decorated with bud vases, each filled with carefully selected seasonal flowers. Individual calla lilies added a sculptural element while delicate daisies softened the overall look.

The result felt elegant, relaxed and inviting—perfect for a summer celebration by the coast.

Bud Vase Details

One of our favourite details from this wedding was the collection of individual bud vases.

Rather than relying on one large centrepiece, each table featured multiple vessels with different flowers, creating layers of texture while keeping conversations flowing across the table.

This style works beautifully for couples wanting an elevated look without overwhelming the space.

Throughout the day, every arrangement shared the same colour story and natural movement, allowing the florals to feel cohesive from ceremony through to reception.
